This breed always hits the top of the 10 most popular dog breeds. I don’t think there is anyone who does not know about this breed.
Labrador Retrievers were recognized in England as a Kennel Club breed in 1903 and first registered by the AKC in the United States of America in 1917.
The Labrador retriever was bred to be both a friendly companion and a useful working dog breeds for retrieving and still today they are famous for their sweet nature. Labrador retriever is a retriever gun dog.
This popular dog breed comes in three coat colors- Golden, chocolate, and black. Labrador is a strong and medium-sized dog. Labrador retriever is most popular for their affection, loyalty, and sweet nature as a companion. They are also very kind and are one of the best breeds to keep with small children if not the best.

The German shepherd is the most popular breed for their guarding skill and die-hard loyalty.
German Shepherds were developed originally for achieving a versatile dog that can excel in almost all aspects of the job that needed to be done. Be it guarding, police work, military support, sniffing or herding and guarding sheep. UK kennel club registered this breed in 1919.
The breed first gained international recognition at the decline of World War I. German shepherd is a large-sized working dog. German Shepherds can come in a variety of colors, the most common of which are tan/black and red/black.
German Shepherds were bred specifically for their intelligence and desirable as police, guard, and search and rescue dogs but after World War 2 they slowly made their way into our household. Their high intelligence and their instinct to please their owner have helped this breed immensely to gain popularity as a house dog instead of just being a police dog. With early socialization and training, they will be a wonderful companion to every age group. They need a somewhat higher amount of exercise when compared to most of the other breed on this list. They are very loyal to their immediate family and will defend their territory against any intruder ferociously.

Golden retrievers are among my favorite breeds. Golden retrievers were mainly developed for retrieving shot water fouls and birds and are retriever gun dogs. Golden retriever breed was first registered in 1903 by the UK kennel club and given separate status in 1913. Golden retrievers are the most popular in the U.S. just after the Labrador retrievers.
Golden Retrievers can be recognized by their beautiful golden-brown coat which comes in several shades and is a medium built dog with balanced proportions.
This breed is all-time popular because of their sweet nature and too much love for humans leading them to best companion dogs because which I m floored for this breed. These dogs are highly intelligent very active dogs they need to be kept occupied to keep them and us in peace. Exercising them is highly essential and a little mental stimulation by some games and quizzes or just plain hide and seek will work wonders in keeping their anxiety down.

Beagle is the fourth most popular dog breed worldwide. The Beagle is a breed of compact small hound.
The beagle is a scent hound, developed primarily for hunting hare. Beagle ancestry goes back to the 5th century but, got registered in the American Kennel Club in 1885.
They come in many colors as lemon, red and white, and tricolor.
Beagle is an intelligent, gentle, and very fun-loving perfect for a family dog making them very popular among dogs. One thing I will like to say that they are always going around scents making them running around all the time. Apart from as family dogs, these get into the police department for searching weapons, drugs, etc due to them being scent hounds.
All that said beagle is a sweet fun loving a racy dog that will love to be around their family.
5. English Bulldog
Wrinkly faces with short snout but sturdy build are some of the hallmarks of this breed. Apart from that cute appearance, it’s sweet, laid back and easy going and protective nature make them popular dog worldwide. I just love the laid back nature and loyalty in this breed. This one is another of my favorite breed.
A Bulldog is a medium-sized muscular breed. Origin of bulldog can be traced back to the 5th century and originally developed to help butchers control livestock, catching horses, cattle, and boars. It has a black history of use in the barbaric “sport” called bull-baiting which was banned in 1835. This breed was recognized by American Kennel Club in 1886.
Once bull baiting was outlawed, bulldogs continued to work at herding hogs and cattle. Now bulldog has gone on to become a popular companion and working animal.

6. Chihuahua
The Chihuahua is the smallest breed of dog and is named after the state of Chihuahua in Mexico. This breed is most popular among the toy breed lovers with their big almond-shaped eyes and erects pointed ears. We can picture a cute small lap dog that can be carried in one hand or purse. This breed just steals our hearts with their cute faces.
The history of this breed is very controversial but, this breed was registered in 1904 by American Kennel Club. This breed served mainly as a companion dog from the start. Chihuahua’s popularity started increasing from 1960 when the motto of owning a dog shifted from working to the companion.
Chihuahua is famous for its small size, overloaded cuteness, devotion to owner, courage, and liveliness makes it a perfect companion dog. They are good watchdogs too. But, here is a twist and that is it is more of a one-man dog kind and can be overprotective for their master. Aggression comes naturally in this breed which I don’t like about this breed. Early socialization, positive training, and a loving but firm hand can curb this problem.
Two types of Chihuahua are officially registered the short or smooth coat and the long coat. But in the pet trade, various other variations are being identified. But most of this type of variation is due to the commercial appeal and to appease customers. Some of the variations described in the pet trade are as follows.

This one is another of my favorite breeds. Boxer is popular as a perfect dog for the family, especially for kids. You will get floored by their sweet nature and able to cope well kid’s mishandling making it popular for a dog perfect for kids.
The Boxer is a medium-sized, short-haired breed of dog, developed in Germany. They come in a short smooth coat with different shades of fawn or brindled, with or without white markings, and white. Boxer is a brachycephalic dog.
The Boxer is part of the Mastiff dog group, developed in Germany in the late 19th century from the now extinct Bullenbeisser and old English bulldog. Boxer was registered by American Kennel Club in 1904. Boxers were mainly developed for bull baiting and later for butcher’s helpers, controlling cattle in slaughterhouses after the ban on bull baiting.
Whatever is its history modern Boxer is active, lively, affectionate, loyal and a perfect companion dog.
8. French Bulldog
The French bulldog, also known as the Frenchie, is a small breed. The French bulldog was a cross between bulldog ancestors imported from England and local ratters in Paris, France in the 1800s. The breed was first registered in 1885 by French Kennel Club. The French bulldog was developed as an excellent ratter, but today it is a fabulous family and show dog.
It is another brachycephalic dog with a strong muscular and small build with distinctive bat ears.
