Baby King Kamfa Flowerhorn Video 2

Moving ahead to the video, I would like to apologize for the mute video. This was actually shot at our Pet Store in Jaipur, on the same day with the previous video. At that time it didn’t occur to me that I should make a video explaining the features of this particular specimen.

So sorry, I will take care of this thing in future.

Let us talk about the King Kamfa flowerhorn now. You know, King Kamfa flowerhorn is actually the first of the initially developed breeds of the Flowerhorn.

I will give a detailed account of the breeds of flowerhorn in subsequent articles. Talking about them in general, flowerhorns are hardy, intelligent and lively breed. They can be a little nippy and biter, especially the King Kamfa, but they are also interactive. If you have one you know what I am talking about. As you feed them. Very soon maybe in just a couple of days, they learn to follow your hand movements outside the aquarium. They will get excited when the person feeding them passes by in the vicinity of their aquarium and tend to pop and jump in the water. Well, who can deny a cute little, lively fish who is begging for food in such a cute way? But the feeding should be controlled because overfeeding can cause many problems, especially with the protein synthesis inside the body and polluting the water of the aquarium. For now, let us skip this general detail and focus onto the specimen here.

The Baby King Kamfa Flowerhorn and Bonsai variety

The baby king kamfa flowerhorn here is quite a good specimen. At this young age, he is having a fine head development. Looking at the present condition I am optimistic about this one developing full tennis ball head Kok in next 6-8 months. The markings on the head have started darkening also. They are in the circular pattern and are surrounded by the sparkling edge scales. Scales on the head are much bigger compared to the scales of the body. This particular specimen is the recently developed bonsai variety of King Kamfa Flowerhorn. Bonsai variety is having body length midway between the two pre-existing varieties, that is the long body flowerhorn and the short body flowerhorn. In subsequent articles, I will give a proper account of all breeds and all varieties of the flowerhorn.

Examining further, the red color under the gills and on the belly is starting to appear. Though this color is not prominent right now, there is a light shade of the red and moving further towards the fins. Just after the gills, this red coloration fades away in a pink hue somewhat mixing and merging into the grey body of this particular flowerhorn. A little red coloration is also appearing on the edges of the fins but it is still very light. By the progress of past one week, I believe that the proper coloration will pop out in next 4-5 months and the separation between the grey and red color will be more clearly visible.

Looking at the body, I think being a bonsai flowerhorn he will develop a bulbous body that will be stocky but not as disc-like as the short body flowerhorn. The length will not be as long as the long body flowerhorn but decently long. Well with all your well wishes I hope this King Kamfa Flowerhorn will mature into a decent show specimen.
